Ondrej: thanks very much for your ideas. My thinking is slightly different:
1. Making the LaTeX conversion has value in that it locates errors. These are simple html errors which are easily fixed.
2. I already have a typeset file which is of acceptable quality. Since it is produced by a python script with no human intervention, it is easily re-run whenever the oe_bosworthtoller.txt file is updated. It is quite smart and can cope with irregularities of the format.
So I think I will continue to develop this while I wait for the other corrections.
