Hello,

The modern Dutch form is wichelaar. The form as cited above is found in Kiliaan, Etymologicum Teutonicae Linguae, written in the 16th century. Whether this implies that wijcheler is still Middelnederlandsch I frankly don't know. The Leiden University has Het Groot Etymologisch Woordenboek van de Nederlandse Taal online, but the server is hard to reach.
