About

Observed form: Lex
Citation form:
The citation form is the way the word is listed in the dictionary. For example, the citation form of läuft is laufen.
The citation form is usually the infinitive (for verbs) or the nominative singular (for nouns).
The citation form might be the same as the observed form.
Gloss:
The gloss is a translation. You don't need to include every possible translation. One or two English translations is usually enough to give the central meaning of the word.

Your contribution won't appear right away, because the process of adding contributions to the database hasn't been totally automated yet.

On copyright: It's OK to report a gloss which you looked up in a dictionary. Facts can't be copyrighted. What you can't do is copy an entire dictionary, since the selection and arrangement of facts is copyrightable.
